A herbalist's dream

It's that time of year again where the sun's out, but as with a usual British summer it's sprinkled with bucket loads of rain threatening to put out that BBQ.
While we get up and running with no animals on the land this has created a perfect environment for the grass to grow and wildflowers to bloom.

Along with the usual array of brightly coloured Foxgloves and blankets of buttercups and clover in the fields are some species that I have not come across before that seem to be good for eating and treating various ailments.
Yarrow

Apparently more common than sheep in the Welsh mountains, not sure how I've never come across it before. Google tells me it's good for stopping bleeding and helps with a fever, although I'm not sure I'm ready just yet to throw out the paracetamol and that box of SpongeBob Squarepants plasters that we have in the kitchen drawer.
Sheep's Sorrel

Thi one seems to be in abundant supply across the fields, Mr. Internet tells me it's a good addition to salads with a sour citrus flavour and seems to have an array of health benefits from being a diuretic to treating mouth ulcers.
I am by no means a medical professional/Herbalist (if that is a real thing!) So please don't go eating random plants you find in your back garden based of anything I write in these blogs! Now the disclaimers over take a peek at some of the other flowers we found below (yes one of them if from the garden) and I threw in a cat up a tree for good measure .
